Additional Notes

Guillermo Manon notes the shifting landscape of lucha libre where the talented wrestlers are now "materials for export" to promotions like WCW & now WWF with AAA signing a talent trade agreement, contrasted by the reality that you will not see the same importing of talent to Mexico no matter what promises are made because you can't compare the US dollar with the peso
rumors that Jaque Mate & Masakre are headed into AAA where they will be re-united with ex-partner Pierroth Jr. as Los Intocables
Karis La Momia may never return to the ring afer taking a tombstone from Perro Aguayo Jr. in San Martin Texmelucan on 11/12, this plays into his vertabree injury earlier in the year courtesy of Blue Demon Jr.
JCR article notes Antonio Pena flew to New York to sign the agreement with WWF, this is a good thing for the AAA wrestlers because WWF pays their wrestlers well "unlike the other guys" (this starts the upcoming trend of pointing out WCW doesn't pay the Mexicans as well as people think)
Promo Azteca is trying to raid CMLL by promising WCW jobs for anyone who leaves
JCR also has an interview with Felino where he notes he is happy in CMLL & has turned down all Promo Azteca offers
says the only person he has spoken with is Konnan who offered him a WCW contract if he left CMLL without notice, Felino countered saying he would consider it but he needed to talk with Paco Alonso first before agreeing to anything
on 11/12 he got a phone call from someone in the Promo Azteca office asking for his personal information for payment/travel which surprised him, he said I haven't agreed to anything yet (this is his way of saying Konnan jumped the gun)
doesn't know why he was being advertised for a recent Promo Azteca TV taping (11/15 in Xochimilco), thinks maybe Konnan was trying to force his hand or get him in trouble with CMLL
wants to work both companies if possible
Jesus Zuniga makes the point "nobody is reeplaceable" noting Mosco De La Merced subbed for Juventud Guerrera teaming with Fuerza Guerrera in Neza 10/25 & not a single fan asked where was Juvy
mentions the 11/17 show in Juarez which has talent from AAA/CMLL/Promo Azteca booked together (Canek AAA, Rayo De Jalisco Jr./Atlantis CMLL, Hermanos Dinamita (Promo Azteca)
Arturo Rivera says Tinieblas & Alushe are headed into AAA soon
reveals 2 of the 10 new gimmicks being teased for AAA in 1997 are a team called Las Chivas I y II
says Mascara Sagrada Jr. has vacated his IWAS Middleweight Title since the company & relationship with AAA no longer exists, says this is the move of a "decent human being" (shot at Konnan not returning & defending his AAA championship in WCW)
there are plans to do a tournament to crown a new AAA Americas Champion to replace the one Konnan stole
Mascarita Sagrada Jr. was in a car accident near Saltillo on 11/4
