Pierroth with Janeth, Lady Victoria with Migala. Janeth used a martinete for the win, which Tirantes saw and did not call a DQ. Konnan and Sirenta (attacked by Pierroth) were involved in post matches, which was nearly a riot with the thrown chairs.

Misterio pinned Pierroth. Heavy Metal subbed for Psicosis in main.

Event Notes: SuperLuchas 279 (back in July) credits Joaquin Roldan as putting together the August 1996 TV schedule; a rare early mention of the person who'd run AAA about a decade from now. SuperLuchas 280 says AAA booked a cage match (the main?) but commissioner Miguel Angel Zamorra wouldn't allow it or explain why. SuperLuchas has been bashing that commissioner for months.

Event Notes: SuperLuchas calls this show a complete failure. PROMELL, speaking to Box y Lucha 2249, said attendance wasn't as bad as claimed, and it wasn't even technically a PROMELL show; it was a Cronistas Deportivas show where PROMELL supplied the talent. It still airs as the first PROMELL TV show, though CMLL wrestlers appearing on Televisa are banned from appearing. PROMELL staff member Jose Luis Pina was said to be assualted at the show.
