An infamous messed up finish. Roberto Rangel and Eddie Palau are referees. Rudos beat Faisan, Colombo defeats Robles, and Palau says Colombo submits Panico. Colombo doesn't let go of his hold, Robles traps Palou near the ropes (so he can't raise anyone's hand) and Rangel lets the match continue. Panico quickly pins Colombo, and Rangel awards the win. The wrestlers, the referees and the commissioner argue about the result, with the rudos unmasking Faisan and walking off. The fans stop Colombo from getting his head shaved. The commission, days later. decides that Panico must unmask at this next match and Manuel Robles must get his head shaved. EMLL decides Colombo must get his head shaved and Faisan is stuck unmasked. (That makes this an effective draw.) Rangel is also suspended. The best guess at what really happened here is Palau called a submission victory when he should not, and Panico ended up getting unmasked when he wasn't supposed to lose it.

Event Notes: Box y Lucha's recap of the main event is so long by necessity that there's nothing more beyond a sentence or two on the semifinal.
