Solitario tried to unmask Santo in the third fall. Santo escaped, and actually did unmask Solitario so that everyone saw his face. Solitario escaped the ring, ran to the back, and never came back. Santo was ruled as the winner of the match by the referee, but the commissioner quickly ruled it was a DQ and stripped Santo of the title. Reads like an unplanned event, though the recap writes it more as a strange planned finish.
