Less than five minutes. Ephesto put him in a hold and the referee ruled Cometa submitted, though Cometa argued he did not.
5) Gran Guerrero, Terrible, Último Guerrero b Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Shocker *
Thunder was originally announced, then replaced by Diamante Azul late Monday in the second card shift. Rudos took 1/3. Ultimo Guerrero was eliminated in the third, but snuck back in while Atlantis had GG in the Atlantida and pulled a switch for the win.
6) La Sombra, Marco Corleone, Rush DQ Averno, Mephisto, Volador Jr. *
Marco (back from injury) and Rush replaced La Sombra (injury) and La Mascara Monday afternoon, then Sombra was put back in for Azul (and Azul moved down to the semimain) on Monday night. Straight falls, rudos DQed for excessive violence in the first. Volador fouled Sombra, Sombra pulled Volador's mask, referee DQed Volador.

Rudos took 1/3, Virus pulling Fantasma's mask and beating him. Feed went out during third fall, good from what we saw. Rudos took Fantasma and Delta's masks after the match.

Rematch from last week. Very good lightning match. Puma got Oro in the mecedora, Angel de Oro reversed it to his own mecedora and then submitted Puma with a campana.
5) Taichi, Terrible, Vangellys b La Máscara, Rush, Titán * *
Rush used Chris Benoit's last WWE theme as his music. Rudos took 1/3, Terrible & Vangelis pinning Titan & Mascara. Rudos pre-match promo suggested a challenge for the national trios titles (with someone besides ineligible Taichi), though Mascara suggested a title match between himself and Vangelis post match.

Good comedy match. Tecnicos took 2/3 with Marco/Thunder team spots.

Rudos took 2/3. Cadetes del Espacio are 0-2! Okumura brainbuster Triton.
3) Pequeño Nitro b Fantasy, Pequeño Warrior, Último Dragóncito, Pequeño Universo 2000, Aéreo [MEX LIGHT, semifinal]
Elimination order not listed, except for Pequeno Universo being first out and Ultimo Dragoncito being the last on. Pequeno Nitro won, will face Electrico next week for the vacant title.
4) Máscara Dorada, Súper Porky, Thunder b Euforia, Felino, Pierroth *
Tecnicos took 2/3. Dorada beat Euforia with craziness.

Azul took falls 2/3. Diamante Azul came in as champion. Seconds were Mascara Dorada & Namajague. Azul german suplexed in the third to keep his title. Second defense.
6) Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión b Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero *
Straight falls. Rey Escorpion pulled Ultimo Guerrero's mask and pinned him for the win.

1) Disturbio & Guerrero Negro Jr. b Oro Jr. & Stigma *
Stigma brought Espiritu Maligno's mask to the ring, but still lost.
2) Delta, Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr. b Misterioso Jr., Puma, Tiger *
Tecnicos took 2/3. Puma was strechered out after taking the Sacrifica Maya.
3) La Máscara b Titán [lightning] *
La Mascara won in a quick match.
4) Blue Panther, Rush, Súper Porky b Averno, Felino, Negro Casas *
Averno replaced Taichi on Monday. Panther submitted Averno. Rush & Negro feuded as well, but the post match promos were pushing Averno vs Panther.
5) Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Shocker b Kráneo, Psicosis, Último Guerrero *
Marco got the win for his team. UG and Atlantis ripped each other's mask, Atlantis leaving UG uncovered after the match.
6) Mephisto, Mr. Niebla, Volador Jr. b La Sombra, Místico, Valiente *
Straight falls for the rudos. Volador used brass knuckles to knock out Sombra before the match, beat up Sombra with the stretcher after the match, and took his mask for good measure.
Event Notes: Mexican band Reik and Korean group MBLAQ were in attendance.

tecnicos took 2/3. Diamante might have hurt his knee on his end of match dive. Fantasma and Virus feuded during the match.
4) Rey Cometa b Tiger [lightning] * *
Tiger and Bucanero/Terrible/Vangelis did separate promos about Tiger being out of (and Vangelis in) TRT, but Tiger came out to the TRT music wearing TRT gear here. Cometa won with a 450 splash.
5) Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys b La Máscara, Rush, Titán * *
Rush is using the same entrance music, probably a permanent change. Rudos won 1/3 to set up a title match next week. Post match, Bucanero demanded Rush not talk because no one wants to hear what he was to say. Titan tried to ask the crowd if they wanted the title match, and Rush stole the microphone to say it didn't matter what the fans wanted and he was accepting the match.
6) La Sombra, Marco Corleone, Máximo b Ephesto, Mephisto, Volador Jr. * *
Tecnicos took 2/3. In the second, Volador tried tossing his mask to Sombra to draw the DQ, but Sombra just pinned him. Marco & Maximo beat Mephisto & Ephesto in the third.

1) Espanto Jr. & Súper Comando b Metatrón & Soberano Jr.
Soberano replaced Bengala, Super Comando replaced Guerrero Negro Jr.
2) La Comandante, La Vaquerita, Tiffany b Dallys la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Luna Mágica *
Rudas took 1/3. Tiffany used the ropes to pin Goya.
3) Ángel de Oro, Stuka Jr., Titán b Boby Zavala, Misterioso Jr., Sangre Azteca *
Tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Eléctrico b Pequeño Nitro [MEX LIGHT, final] *
Electrico took falls 1/3 to win the vacant championship, the last with a cavernaria. This is his first title win.
5) Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Taichi DQ Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja *
Straight falls. Niebla Roja stole Dragon Rojo's mask for the second DQ. Rojo wanted a singles match.

Tecnicos took 2/3. Aeroitaliano on Piscosis for the win.

Tecnicos took 2/3, Mistica on Averno.
5) Atlantis, Blue Panther, Negro Casas b Black Terry, Negro Navarro, Solar I * 
Blue Panther was honored before the match for his 35th Anniversary. His two sons wore black Panther masks and were introduced as Black Panther and El Cachorro. Blue Panther was allowed to wear his mask for the whole match. Panther submitted Solar to a nudo lagunero in the first. Black Terry armbarred Panther in the second. Atlantis beat Negro Navarro with an inverted double nelson in the third to give the win to the home team. Panther celebrated for a while, started to leave, and Averno surprise attacked him. Panther was strechered out.
6) Volador Jr. b La Sombra [super libre] *
Volador Jr. wore a Blue Panther inspired mask. Volador won the first with a back cracker. He tried to martinete Sombra in the second, but Tirantes broke it up and called a DQ. Volador grabbed the microphone, pointed out it was a super libre match (so there should be no DQs) and wanted Tirantes to get lost. Volador took fall 3 with the Guillotina Voladora for the win.

1) Cholo & Namajague b Molotov & Oro Jr. * 
Namajague replaced Zayco. Rudos won in straight falls in a quick match.
2) Hombre Bala Jr., Magnus, Súper Halcón Jr. b Arkángel de la Muerte, Canelo Casas, Nosferatu *
Canelo looked fine in his Arena Mexico debut. His grandmother was among the Casas family members in attendance. Tecnicos took 2/3.
3) Felino, Puma, Tiger b Ángel de Oro, Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr. *
Rudos took 1/3. Puma escaped Angel de Oro's mecedora and put him in a mecedora, then a campana, in a direct reversal of their lightning match finish. Tiger was still in TRT gear and believes he's still in the group (saying last week was a misunderstanding) but also mentioned teaming up with his family more.
4) Diamante Azul b Euforia [lightning] * *
Azul won with la de a caballo. CMLL's recap notes the hold was invented by Gori Guerrero.
5) Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Niebla, Pólvora b Máscara Dorada, Místico, Valiente * *
Rudos took 1/3, Niebla top rope splashing Mistico for the deciding pin. Fans booed the tecnicos loudly during their post match promo.

Rudos took the first, tecnicos took the last two to keep the titles. Rush Driver on Vangellys for the deciding pin. Titan seemed to be hurt early on and struggled at times during the match. First defense for Rush, Titan and La Mascara

2) Dallys la Caribeña, Estrellita, Goya Kong b La Comandante, La Seductora, Tiffany *
Tecnicas took 1/3. Goya splashed Tiffany for the win.
3) Delta, Hijo del Fantasma, Tritón b Boby Zavala, Sangre Azteca, Shigeo Okumura *
Triton moonsaulted Okumura.
4) Tiger b Diamante [lightning]
CMLL recaps says TRT has confirmed Tiger is still in the group. Tiger actually won here.
5) La Sombra, Súper Porky, Thunder DQ Negro Casas, Rey Escorpión, Volador Jr. *
Volador replaced Mr. Niebla. Volador pulled Sombra's mask for the DQ. Sombra and Volador demanded an extra fall but the commission said no (again.) They still fought some more.

Tanahashi's return. Puma replaced Rey Bucanero. Aero Italiano on Tanahashi and Marco.

Seeding set by battle royal. Terrible was last year's Universal champion, but lost here by armbar.
5) La Máscara b Máscara Dorada [CMLL Universal, eightfinal]
La Mascara won via campana.
6) Rey Escorpión b Averno [CMLL Universal, eightfinal]
Rey Escorpion won via Aguijon Mortal (piledriver)
7) Místico b Pólvora [CMLL Universal, eightfinal]
Longest first round match. Sounded as though La Mistica went wrong and Mistico ended up with a pinfall win.
8) Rush b La Máscara [CMLL Universal, quarterfinal]
Rush won via senton.
9) Rey Escorpión b Místico [CMLL Universal, quarterfinal]
Escorpion escaped La Mistica and dropped him with Aguijon Mortal.
10) Rush b Rey Escorpión [CMLL Universal, semifinal]
Rush used the Rush Driver on Escorpion for the win in the longest match.
11) Atlantis b Último Guerrero
expected quick first two falls. Crowd got into the third fall. UG fouled Atlantis for the DQ.

2) Hijo del Signo, Hooligan, Nitro b Metálico, Molotov, Starman *
Rudos took 2/3. Hooligan had a crazy mask, even for him. Metalico & Signo did interact and their feud was brought up in the post match, but it was not played up in the match itself.
3) Estrellita, Luna Mágica, Marcela DQ Amapola, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit *
Tecnicas took 1/3, the last for excessive violence (Sugheit pulling Estrellita's hair for too long of a time)
4) Shigeo Okumura b Fuego [lightning] * *
Okumura won in 6:06 via brainbuster.
5) Blue Panther, Diamante Azul, Súper Porky b Euforia, Felino, Taichi * *
Tecnicos took 1/3. Felino failed on a body slam on Porky in the first and was flattened for the pinfall. Porky landed the plancha on all the rudos in the third.
6) Hiroshi Tanahashi, Pierroth, Terrible b Atlantis, La Máscara, Máximo * *
Rudos took 1/3. Tanahashi blatantly fouled Atlantis behind the refs back and cradled him for the win. Atlantis demanded a singles match and Tanahashi accepted in Spanish (after attacking Atlantis again.)

Rudos took 1/3.
2) Amapola, La Seductora, Princesa Blanca b Dallys la Caribeña, Goya Kong, Marcela * *
Seductora pinned Marcela in the first (only after Blanca powerbombed Marcela.) At the end of a long second fall, Marcela accidentally missile dropkicked Dallys, and Dallys attacked her not at all on accident. Rudas took advantage for the win. Dallys, looking like the ruda in the new issue, refused to make friends and stormed off after the match.
3) Averno, Pólvora, Rey Escorpión b Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Místico * *
Rudos took 1/3. Revolucionarios beat Estetas in the third and challenged for a title shot. Mascara Dorada accepted for "proxima fecha." Panther and Averno feuded heavily and brawled to the back at the finish.

Dragon Bomb for the win.

Okumura was a last minute replacement for Diamante Azul (out for "personal reasons".) Tanahashi worked tecnico and won with a german suplex.

Sombra double moonsault (after kicking out of Mephisto's valagueza and super Devil's Wings.)
8) Virus b Valiente [CMLL Universal, eightfinal] * *
Virus won clean with the Gori Special.
9) Hiroshi Tanahashi b Dragón Rojo Jr. [CMLL Universal, quarterfinal] * *
Tanahashi survived Rojo's top rope double stomp and put on a cloverleaf for the submission win.
10) La Sombra b Virus [CMLL Universal, quarterfinal] * *
Sombra Brillante Driver to advance.
11) Hiroshi Tanahashi b La Sombra [CMLL Universal, semifinal] * *
Good match. Sombra started to go for the rope flip moonsault, but was distracted by Volador Jr. Tanahashi dropped Sombra with the Hooligan Crash and landed the High Fly Flow for the win. Sombra challenged Tanahashi to mask versus hair match. Tanahashi did not accept.
12) Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush b Felino, Negro Casas, Volador Jr. * *
Negro submitted Rush with an STF in the first. Maximo beat Volador with the Kiss of Death in the second. Maximo and Marco beat the Casas brothers clean in the third. Some great Negro versus Rush action.
